In the first quarter of 2025, the top consumer finance apps on the Android platform in Nigeria demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps had significant traction among users.
Moniepoint Personal Banking experienced a noticeable growth in downloads, starting at approximately 101K weekly downloads and peaking at around 178K mid-quarter. Active users also saw a rise, growing from 2.0M to 2.9M by the end of March.
UBA Mobile Banking maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, with numbers fluctuating between 37K and 47K. Active users increased from 3.1M to 3.5M, indicating steady user engagement.
Access More showed stable download figures, ranging from 36K to 53K weekly. The app's active user base was robust, peaking at over 4.2M.
FirstMobile saw its weekly downloads hovering between 28K and 40K. Active users rose from approximately 2.8M to 3.2M, suggesting increased app usage during the period.
Finally, Kuda - Transfers and payments had downloads ranging from 27K to 35K, with active users slightly declining from 2.9M to 2.6M over the quarter.
