Top Film & TV Apps on Android in Germany: Q1 2025

The first quarter of 2025 saw intriguing trends among the top Film & Television applications on the Android platform in Germany. Data from Sensor Tower highlights the performance of Joyn | deine Streaming App, Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, and ZDF | Streaming und Live-TV.

Joyn | deine Streaming App experienced a noticeable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $115K in late February. Its weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching up to 34.8K in early January, while active users showed growth, peaking at approximately 1.17M in early March.

Prime Video maintained a strong presence with weekly revenue reaching nearly $1M in early March. Downloads varied, reaching a maximum of 38.2K at the start of the quarter, while active users saw a slight decline, ending the quarter at around 1.22M.

Netflix had consistent download numbers, starting at 44.2K and gradually decreasing to 19.9K by the quarter's end. Active users remained robust, albeit slightly declining from 3.55M to 2.96M.

Disney+ showed a steady increase in revenue, peaking at approximately $758K in March. Weekly downloads started at 34K and decreased to 17.8K, while active users fluctuated, ending the quarter at about 958K.

ZDF | Streaming und Live-TV maintained a stable download rate, peaking at 26.2K in mid-March. Active users increased to a high of 1.78M in mid-February, before settling at around 1.24M by the end of March.
