State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
The first quarter of 2025 saw interesting trends among the top Maps and Navigation apps on the Android platform in the United States. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top five applications, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Uber - Request a ride experienced a consistent flow of weekly downloads, starting at approximately 105K at the beginning of January and peaking at around 115K by the end of February. The app maintained robust weekly active user numbers, starting from 6.1M and ending the quarter with about 6.6M users.
Lyft also showed steady download numbers, with an increase from 89K in early January to over 100K by the end of March. Weekly active users increased from around 3.5M at the start of the quarter to nearly 4M at its conclusion.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic demonstrated a solid performance in downloads, starting at 54K and reaching over 74K by the end of March. Active users consistently hovered around 6.5M, with a notable rise to over 7M in the final week.
GPS Location - Map Camera saw a noticeable trend in revenue, reaching a peak of $478 by mid-March. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 92K by late January, while active users climbed from 151 at the start to over 83K by the end of March.
Phone Locator: Family Location had a varied download trend, starting at 39K and rising to over 43K by the end of the quarter. Active users increased steadily from 155K to nearly 193K.
