State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the first quarter of 2025, the music and podcast app landscape on Android in Hungary displayed intriguing trends. According to Sensor Tower, each of the top five apps showed unique patterns in downloads, revenue, and active users.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at around $11K in early March. Downloads varied, with a notable increase to over 4K in early March. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 430K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
Deezer: Music & Podcast Player experienced a gradual increase in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $938 in early March. Downloads were modest but saw a spike to 274 in the same period. Active users peaked at over 2K at the start of March before slightly declining.
TIDAL Music: HiFi sound demonstrated a steady rise in weekly revenue, hitting about $814 in early March. Downloads showed a downward trend, ending at 127 by the end of March. Active users slightly decreased from 4.6K to 3.5K over the quarter.
Apple Music exhibited a rise in revenue, reaching $614 in early March. Downloads remained consistent, ranging between 323 and 471 throughout the quarter. Active users fluctuated, peaking at nearly 15K in late March.
SoundCloud: Play Music & Songs showed a significant increase in weekly revenue, reaching $245 in early March. Downloads were strongest in early March, peaking at 1.7K. Active users surged to over 58K at the start of March, maintaining a strong presence throughout the quarter.
