In the first quarter of 2025, the Navigation and Maps category on Android in the United States showcased interesting trends among the top-performing applications. According to data from Sensor Tower, Waze Navigation & Live Traffic, Google Earth, Easy Rout Map: Navigation Path, Google Maps Go, and Digital Compass for Android led the charts.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at around 74K by the end of March. The app maintained a strong base of weekly active users, climbing from approximately 6.2M to 7.1M over the quarter.

Google Earth saw stable weekly downloads, hovering around 50K to 57K. Its active user base varied, with a notable increase to 998K in early February before stabilizing.

Easy Rout Map: Navigation Path experienced a significant rise in downloads mid-quarter, reaching a peak of about 27K. The app's revenue showed modest gains, with a high of $24 in early March. Active users steadily increased to nearly 70K by quarter's end.

Google Maps Go maintained a consistent download rate, averaging around 16K to 19K weekly. Active user numbers rose notably, peaking at about 125K by mid-March.

Lastly, Digital Compass for Android saw a gradual increase in revenue, reaching $343 in early March. Downloads peaked in late January at approximately 22K, with active users stabilizing around 110K towards the quarter's end.
