In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the top personal finance apps on the Android platform in Nigeria showed notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at how these apps fared based on data from Sensor Tower.
Money Manager: Expense Tracker from GeniusTools Labs saw a fluctuating revenue pattern, peaking at approximately $291 in mid-March. Weekly downloads varied, with a high of 1.4K at the start of the quarter, while active users decreased from 1.9K to about 1.4K by the end of March.
Wallet: Budget Expense Tracker maintained steady revenue, reaching $218 in the last week of March. Downloads showed a decline throughout the quarter, while active users dropped from 599 to 306 by the quarter's end.
Money Tracker Expense Tracker recorded consistent downloads, peaking at 3.5K in early February. Revenue remained stable, with a slight dip in March, while active users steadily increased, reaching over 14K by the end of the quarter.
Budge・Savings & Budget Planner experienced a revenue high of $177 in early February. However, download data was unavailable for this app.
YNAB from ynab.com had a revenue peak of $174 in late February. Active users remained minimal but stable throughout the quarter.
