State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!

In the first quarter of 2025, the top social apps on the Android platform in Germany demonstrated varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at how these leading apps fared.
Facebook from Meta Platforms, Inc. maintained a consistent revenue stream, with weekly figures hovering around $17K to $19K. The app's downloads peaked at over 155K in early February, followed by a decline to approximately 110K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight decrease, moving from 13.1M to around 12.5M.
TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE by TikTok Pte. Ltd. experienced impressive revenue growth, starting at about $3.4M and climbing steadily to reach over $4.6M by the end of March. Weekly downloads, however, saw a reduction, beginning at 107K and ending at around 92K. The number of active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly but closing the quarter with approximately 7.3M users.
Instagram showed positive revenue trends, starting the quarter at $24K and peaking at over $40K mid-quarter. Download numbers were strongest at the start of the quarter with 98K, before settling to 73K by the end of March. Active users remained stable, maintaining around 11.3M throughout the quarter.
Threads had a consistent download rate, starting at 80K and tapering off to approximately 57K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated slightly, beginning at 2.08M and ending the quarter at 2.08M.
Facebook Lite also from Meta Platforms, Inc. saw modest revenue figures, with a peak of $65. Weekly downloads varied slightly, peaking at 41K in early March, and active users showed a stable trend, closing the quarter with approximately 267K.
