In the first quarter of 2025, the tower defense genre on Android in Mexico showcased interesting trends across several leading titles. Here's a look at the performance of the top five games, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Plants vs Zombies™ 2 from ELECTRONIC ARTS experienced a notable decline in weekly revenue, starting at around $9K and dropping to about $4.6K by the end of March. Weekly downloads also saw a decrease, beginning at roughly 59K and ending at approximately 39K. The game maintained a robust user base, though, with weekly active users slightly decreasing from over 1.1M to around 894K.
Yostar Limited’s Arknights showed fluctuating revenue, peaking at $4.4K in March, while downloads were modest, peaking at 625 in January but dropping to negligible numbers. Active users remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations around the 3K mark.
Kingdom Guard:Tower Defense TD by Tap4fun saw a varied revenue trend, peaking at $2.9K in late January and stabilizing around $1.6K by the end of the quarter. Downloads spiked notably at the start and middle of the quarter, with highs reaching 5.9K in March. Active users experienced a significant dip, starting at over 24K and dropping to about 18K.
MY.GAMES’ Rush Royale: Tower Defense TD saw a decrease in revenue, beginning at $3.4K and settling at about $1.6K by March end. The game had a notable download spike in February, reaching 18.5K, but settled back to lower numbers towards the end of the quarter. Active users saw fluctuations, peaking at 89K in February and dropping to 63K by March.
Finally, Summoners Greed: Tower Defense from PIXIO displayed a steady revenue decline, starting at $2K and ending at $803. Downloads showed a similar downward trend from 9.6K to 3.5K. Active users began at 64K and decreased to 49K by the end of the quarter.
