In the first quarter of 2025, the top casual games on iOS in the United States showcased intriguing performance trends in terms of revenue, downloads, and active users. This analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, highlights the quarterly performance of MONOPOLY GO!, Royal Match, Candy Crush Saga, Township, and Coin Master.
MONOPOLY GO! from Scopely, Inc. experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, peaking at around $18.3M in early February. Downloads started strong at nearly 198K at the beginning of the quarter, tapering to approximately 113K by the end. Active users showed variability, with the highest at 3.8M in mid-March before dropping to 2.8M by quarter's end.
Royal Match by Dream Games saw its revenue peak at about $14M in late January. Downloads were robust initially, at 168K, but decreased to 136K by the end of March. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 3.1M and 3.5M.
Candy Crush Saga from King had a steady revenue, reaching $9.9M at the start and ending with a slight increase to $9.8M. Downloads declined from 177K to 97K over the quarter. Active users peaked at 3.7M in late March.
Township by Playrix maintained modest revenue levels, peaking at $4.4M in early March. Downloads began at 508K, dropping to 222K by quarter's end. Active users saw a decline from 1.8M to 1.3M.
Coin Master from Moon Active had a revenue high of $3.8M in late February. Downloads were initially 88K, with a slight increase to 61K by the end of the quarter. Active users started at 390K, decreasing to 269K.
