In the first quarter of 2025, the top five dating apps in Australia on the iOS platform showed intriguing performance trends. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet maintained a consistent weekly revenue, peaking at around $231K in mid-February. The app experienced a slight decline in weekly downloads, fluctuating between 8.9K and 10K. Active user numbers showed minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at approximately 188K.
Tinder Dating App: Date & Chat had a notable start with weekly revenue reaching $628K at the end of December, before stabilizing around $430K to $500K. Downloads were steady, ranging from 6.1K to 7.9K, while active users saw a gradual decline, closing at roughly 444K.
OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative showed an increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $23.7K in early March. Downloads decreased slightly over the quarter, from 6K to 5.1K, and active users remained relatively stable, around 23K.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date experienced a slight decline in revenue throughout the quarter, with figures ranging from $149K to $172K. Weekly downloads varied between 5.1K and 6.3K, and active users saw a downward trend, ending at 132K.
Couple Joy - Relationship App saw a significant increase in weekly downloads in mid-January, reaching over 16K. Revenue peaked at $7.7K in the same period, while active users climbed to approximately 14.8K, before settling at around 11.8K by the end of March.
