In the first quarter of 2025, several personal finance apps stood out in Norway on the iOS platform. Based on data from Sensor Tower, we can observe interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and active users for these apps.
YNAB showed a notable performance with its weekly revenue peaking at around $358 in mid-March. Downloads remained relatively stable, starting the quarter at 125 and ending at 96. The app also maintained a consistent level of active users, with a slight increase from 587 to 603 by the end of the quarter.
The Buddy: Budget Planner App experienced a varied trend in revenue, reaching $204 in the first week of January before stabilizing around $74 by the end of March. Downloads were consistent throughout the quarter, ranging between 107 and 161 weekly. Active users saw moderate growth, increasing from 158 to 141.
Monefy: Money Tracker had its revenue fluctuate, starting at $46 and decreasing to $11 by the end of March. Weekly downloads showed a slight decline but remained above 100 most weeks. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 500 mark.
The Secret To Money reported consistent revenue with minor fluctuations, reaching a high of $44 in mid-March. However, there were no new downloads recorded during this period.
Lastly, TravelSpend: Travel Budget App showed a peak in revenue at $96 in late February, though downloads were minimal, with only a single week recording 9 downloads.
