In the first quarter of 2025, the personal finance app scene in Norway saw varied performance metrics across the top five iOS applications. These insights, sourced from Sensor Tower, reveal the trends in weekly downloads and revenue for each app, offering a glimpse into the market dynamics.
Smartspar experienced relatively stable weekly downloads, hovering around 220 to 270. Despite consistent download activity, weekly revenue remained at zero throughout the quarter.
Balance: Budgeting made easy saw fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at 196 in early February, while revenue varied, reaching a maximum of approximately $35 in the same period.
Splitwise demonstrated a steady increase in weekly active users from 2.4K to over 3K by the end of March. The app's weekly downloads showed a modest rise, peaking at 162, while revenue reached $29 towards the end of February.
Dreams - Spara till drömmar had a notable increase in active users, climbing from 1.1K to nearly 4.8K by the end of the quarter. Download numbers remained consistent, ranging from 110 to 177 weekly.
Lastly, Buddy: Budget Planner App maintained steady download figures, with a slight uptick towards the end of March. Revenue peaked at $204 in the first week of January and remained variable throughout the quarter.
