In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of top carpooling and ridesharing apps in the United Arab Emirates exhibited varied trends in downloads and active users. Here's a detailed look at each app's performance.

Careem – rides, food & more saw consistent growth in downloads, starting with around 23.8K in early January and peaking at approximately 35.8K in mid-February. The app maintained a robust user base, with weekly active users fluctuating between 919K and 1.14M throughout the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a gradual increase in downloads, rising from 9.9K at the start of January to about 17K by early February. However, a decline followed, with downloads dropping to roughly 7K by mid-March. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 146K to 187K.

Bolt: Request a Ride faced a downward trend in downloads, starting at 19.1K and decreasing to approximately 6.5K by early March. Despite this, active users showed resilience, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching over 102K.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery maintained steady downloads, ranging from 10.2K to 15.6K. The app's active users steadily increased, peaking at about 60.4K by the end of March.

Zed: Book your taxi ride showed a positive trajectory in both downloads and active users. Downloads grew from 5.4K to over 10.5K by mid-February, while active users climbed steadily, reaching nearly 38K.
