State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the first quarter of 2025, the top city building games on a unified platform in the United States demonstrated varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at the data, courtesy of Sensor Tower.
State Connect: Traffic Control from AI Games FZ saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at roughly $6.2K in late January and closing the quarter with around $5.9K. Downloads were strong, with a notable increase to approximately 43.6K in late February. Active user numbers also increased, reaching about 73.6K in early March.
Gold Rush: Frozen Adventures by SayGames LTD experienced a decline in revenue, starting at $29.7K in early January and ending the quarter at $8.1K. Downloads decreased over the quarter, from 60.2K to 12.3K, while active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 110K.
SimCity BuildIt by Electronic Arts maintained a strong revenue stream, peaking at $398.2K in early March. Downloads saw a slight decline, starting at 32.8K and ending with 25.5K, whereas active users showed some variability, with a high of 141K in early March.
Civilization VI: NETFLIX from Netflix, Inc. experienced a gradual decrease in revenue, closing the quarter at $11.6K. Downloads also decreased, with a notable drop from 29K to 13.4K. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 39.6K in mid-February before decreasing.
Finally, Puzzles & Chaos: Frozen Castle by BUILDING-BLOCKS NETWORK TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED showed impressive revenue growth, starting at $427.9K and reaching $544.5K by the end of March. Downloads remained stable, averaging around 21K, while active users showed a gradual increase, ending the quarter at approximately 211.7K.
