In the first quarter of 2025, the top communication apps in Slovakia demonstrated varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at the trends for each app based on data from Sensor Tower.
Telegram from Telegram FZ-LLC showed a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $7.1K in mid-February. Downloads were relatively stable, with a peak of 5.9K in the last week of March. Active users saw a gradual rise, reaching over 410K by the end of the quarter.
Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out experienced fluctuations in revenue, with a high point of $2.6K in February. Weekly downloads remained consistent, hovering around 2.5K to 3.3K throughout the quarter. Active users increased steadily, surpassing 158K by March end.
Snapchat from Snap Inc saw weekly revenue peak at $5K in late March. Downloads started strong at 5.7K but tapered off to around 3.4K by the quarter's end. Active users remained robust, consistently around 400K.
Rakuten Viber Messenger by Viber Media maintained stable revenue, peaking at $898 in late February. Downloads saw a slight decline over the quarter, while active users remained strong, exceeding 435K by March.
Finally, Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. experienced a gradual decrease in weekly downloads from 9.6K to 5.4K. Revenue remained relatively low, while active users consistently stayed above 1.7M.
