In the first quarter of 2025, the dating app landscape in Australia saw significant activity across both iOS and Android platforms. Here's a closer look at the top five dating apps, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet experienced a steady revenue increase, peaking at around $410K in early February. Download numbers fluctuated slightly, with a high of 14.5K downloads in late February. Active user numbers remained fairly stable, averaging around 320K users throughout the quarter.
Tinder Dating App: Date & Chat maintained strong performance with weekly revenue reaching up to $1.19M at the start of the quarter. Download numbers hovered around 11K per week, while active users saw a peak of approximately 416K in late January before a slight decline.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date showed consistent revenue, peaking at $346K in March. Downloads were steady, averaging around 9.5K weekly, with active users fluctuating but reaching a quarterly high of about 280K at the quarter's end.
OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative saw modest revenue growth, peaking at $18.8K in early March. Downloads showed a downward trend, starting at 9.3K and dropping to around 7K by the end of March. Active users remained consistent, with a slight peak at 21.5K in January.
Couple Joy - Relationship App had a significant spike in downloads in mid-January, reaching over 17K, while weekly revenue peaked at $6.3K. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 15.4K during the same period.
