During the first quarter of 2025, Hungary's educational game market experienced notable trends across top applications on a unified platform, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here, we delve into the performance of the leading apps: Matific: Math Game for Kids, Lingokids - Play and Learn, Minecraft Education, Times Table - Learn Math, and Baby Games: Piano & Baby Phone.
Matific: Math Game for Kids from Matific - Educational Maths Games showed a fluctuating revenue trend, peaking at around $1.6K in early January. Downloads saw a significant rise mid-quarter, reaching 2.5K in late March. Active users increased steadily, peaking at over 7K by the end of the quarter.
Lingokids - Play and Learn experienced varied revenue, with a high of $1.2K in late February. Downloads surged significantly in the same period, climbing to nearly 3.9K. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at nearly 5K before declining towards the end of March.
Minecraft Education maintained a consistent download rate, with numbers hovering between 600 and 900 weekly. Active users remained stable, maintaining figures around 4K throughout the quarter.
Times Table - Learn Math from BrainSoft Apps saw minimal revenue activity. Downloads showed a general decline, with a slight increase to 820 in the final week of March. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at over 2K and tapering to about 1.5K by quarter's end.
Lastly, Baby Games: Piano & Baby Phone displayed a steady decline in downloads, starting at over 900 and dropping to 534 by the end of March. Active user numbers followed suit, decreasing from 1.2K to under 1K in the same period.
