In the first quarter of 2025, the food delivery app landscape in Oceania saw varied performance trends among the top five applications, according to Sensor Tower data.
DoorDash - Food Delivery experienced a consistent rise in weekly downloads throughout the quarter, beginning with approximately 29.9K and peaking at 38.3K by mid-March. The app's weekly active users showed a similar upward trend, starting from 922.6K and reaching over 1M by the end of March.
BWS on tAPP saw an initial surge in weekly downloads, peaking at 52.6K in early January, but this figure declined steadily to 14.9K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users mirrored this decline, starting from 213.4K and decreasing to 120.9K.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries maintained stable weekly downloads, fluctuating around the 25K to 32K range. The app's weekly active users remained robust, hovering around 2M throughout the quarter.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste showed significant growth in weekly downloads, especially in late March, reaching a high of 58.2K. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, rising from 57.4K to a peak of 137.9K.
Finally, DoorDash - Dasher had relatively stable weekly downloads, fluctuating between 8.3K and 11.9K. Weekly active users remained steady, ranging from 76.6K to 85.3K.
