State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!

In the first quarter of 2025, the top health and fitness apps in the United States showed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here’s a closer look at these leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter from MyFitnessPal, Inc. experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, peaking at approximately $3.8M in the week of February 24. Weekly downloads started strong at 166K in early January, maintaining a steady flow around 150K towards the end of the quarter. Active users peaked at 6.8M in mid-January before stabilizing around 5.9M by the end of March.
The Flo Cycle & Period Tracker by FLO HEALTH UK LIMITED saw a consistent revenue rise, reaching $1.4M by early March. Weekly downloads began at 180K, tapering off to approximately 125K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a strong presence, peaking at 12M in early March.
Calm from Calm.com maintained a steady revenue around $1M, with a slight dip mid-quarter. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 103K in late February. Active users rose to 4.6M in late January, with a gradual decline to 3.9M at the quarter's end.
Fitbit: Health & Fitness by Google showed a revenue peak of $1.1M in late February, while downloads hovered around 40K throughout the quarter. Active users remained stable, averaging around 6.8M.
Lastly, Peloton: Fitness & Workouts by Peloton Interactive, Inc. started the quarter with a revenue of $1.3M, slipping to $850K by March end. Downloads decreased from 27K to 13K, while active users fluctuated, ending the quarter at 1.2M.
