In the first quarter of 2025, the top insurance apps in Australia showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active user engagement. Here's a closer look at the trends for these leading applications.
myBupa saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 8.8K and peaking at 14.1K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained robust, starting at around 205K and reaching 238.9K in mid-March before settling at 217.8K.
My Medibank experienced consistent growth in downloads, with numbers rising from 5.3K to 7.6K by the end of the quarter. The app's active user base showed a slight dip mid-quarter but ended strong at approximately 141.6K.
The AAMI App began the quarter with 4.6K downloads, reaching a high of 7.3K in March. Active users increased steadily, peaking at 177.8K in early March before slightly declining to 173.3K.
nib showed a notable rise in downloads, starting at 2.5K and reaching 4.8K by the end of March. Active users for nib grew from 21.5K to 28.6K, showcasing a strong engagement trend.
Lastly, NRMA Insurance maintained a consistent download rate, starting at 3.5K and peaking at 4.9K. The active user base remained stable, fluctuating slightly around 24K.
