In the first quarter of 2025, the top music and audio applications in Sweden displayed varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, highlights key trends for the leading apps.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts experienced fluctuations in revenue, peaking at approximately $57.9K by the end of March. Downloads showed a gradual decline, starting around 10.8K and ending at 7.3K. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 1.9M throughout the quarter.
JBL Headphones maintained steady download numbers, beginning at 6.5K and closing the quarter at 4.2K. Active users saw a downward trend from 48.2K to 36.7K during this period.
SoundCloud: The Music You Love showed revenue growth mid-quarter, reaching a high of $43.3K in late February. Downloads were relatively stable, while active users peaked at 157.3K before a slight decline towards the end of March.
Shazam: Find Music & Concerts maintained a consistent download rate, with figures ranging from 5.3K to 3.5K. Active users exhibited a peak in late February at 221.6K, followed by a decrease to 181.8K.
Suno - AI Music & Songs saw an increase in revenue, hitting $4.9K in late March. Downloads gradually rose, culminating at 5.3K, while active users increased steadily from 9.9K to 17.7K before a slight drop.
