During the first quarter of 2025, several music and podcast apps demonstrated notable performance trends in France across both iOS and Android platforms. Here's a breakdown of the top five apps.
Deezer: Music Player, Podcast saw a steady revenue, peaking at approximately $1.75M in early March. Downloads experienced a decline, starting the quarter at 58.6K and reaching about 39.9K by the end. Active users showed an upward trend, growing from 7.9M in January to around 8.3M by the end of March.
YouTube Music experienced fluctuations in revenue, reaching a high of $218K in February. Downloads varied, peaking at 32.1K in early February, while active users maintained a steady increase, topping at 3.6M in March.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts saw revenue rise to $206K in early March. Downloads decreased over the quarter, starting at 92.5K and ending at 62.7K. However, active users remained consistent, averaging around 11.9M throughout the period.
SoundCloud: The Music You Love experienced a revenue increase, peaking at $108K in early March. Downloads remained stable, with a slight peak at 18K in March, while active users grew steadily, reaching about 915K by mid-March.
Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts showed moderate revenue growth, with a peak of $93K in late February. Downloads trended downward, starting at 36.5K and ending around 16.7K. Active users fluctuated, reaching a high of 1.4M by the end of March.
