State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the first quarter of 2025, the music and podcast app landscape in France saw dynamic shifts across leading platforms. According to Sensor Tower data, the following apps led the market.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts showed a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $206K in early March. Downloads fluctuated, starting strong at over 92K in late December and settling to around 62K by the end of March. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 12M.
Deezer: Music Player, Podcast experienced consistent revenue, reaching a high of $1.75M in early March. Downloads saw a gradual decline, starting from 58K at the end of December to approximately 39K by the quarter's end. Active users showed a positive trajectory, increasing to over 8.4M in early March.
Shazam: Find Music & Concerts maintained steady download numbers, averaging around 38K weekly. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 7.2M in late December and stabilizing around 6.4M by the end of March.
Radio France - podcast, direct saw a peak in downloads with 47K in late March, while active users remained consistent, ending the quarter at approximately 2.4M.
YouTube Music witnessed a peak in revenue at $218K in early February. Downloads showed variability, peaking at about 32K in early February. Active users remained robust, peaking at over 3.6M in early March.
