In the first quarter of 2025, Belgium's top news and magazines apps showed varied performance trends on the unified platform. Here's a closer look at the key metrics for each app.
X (Formerly Twitter) from X Corp. saw a steady climb in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $11.2K in early March. Downloads, however, declined from 6.2K in mid-January to 4.2K by the end of March. Active users decreased from 715K to 567K over the quarter.
Nieuwsblad by Mediahuis experienced a peak in downloads of 11.8K in late February, while revenue hovered around $800 to $900. Active users remained relatively stable, closing the quarter at around 401K.
NYTimes: US and Global News showed a consistent increase in active users, ending March with over 11K. Revenue peaked at $3.7K in late February, whereas downloads dropped significantly after an initial spike in January.
HLN.be from DPG Media maintained robust weekly revenue, particularly in late February with $35.3K. Downloads were steady, with a slight dip in March, while active users peaked at 589K in early March.
Mijn Magazines by Roularta Media Group NV experienced a decline in downloads throughout the quarter, closing with 722 in late March. Active users, however, grew steadily, reaching 24.2K by the end of the quarter.
