During the first quarter of 2025, the personal finance budgeting and planning apps in New Zealand showed varied performance metrics across downloads, revenue, and active users.
Splitwise from Splitwise, Inc. experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $493 in mid-March. Downloads initially surged to 1.7K in early February before tapering off to 877 by the end of March. Active users showed a positive trend, rising from 25.8K to 33.9K throughout the quarter.
Booster NZ maintained a consistent download rate, with a significant spike to 4.3K in late February. However, revenue data was not available for this app.
Westpac NZ CashNav saw steady downloads, hovering around 300 per week. Active users started at 5K and slightly increased to 4.5K towards the end of the quarter.
Buddy: Budget Planner App showed modest revenue fluctuations, ranging between $45 and $164. Downloads remained stable, averaging around 300 weekly, while active users decreased slightly from 598 to 440.
Spendee Budget App & Planner from Cleevio s.r.o. recorded a revenue peak of $342 in the first week of January. Downloads peaked at 743 in late February. Active users increased from 1.1K to 1.2K during the same period.
