In the first quarter of 2025, the top sandbox-like games on a unified platform in France showcased varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Roblox from Roblox Corporation experienced a decline in weekly revenue, starting at around $456K and ending the quarter at approximately $151K. Downloads peaked at about 127K in early January and gradually decreased to roughly 79K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight decline, moving from approximately 4.1M to 3.5M during the quarter.
One State RP: Role Play Online by CHILLBASE LTD saw fluctuations in revenue, starting at $68K and peaking at $95K in March. Downloads varied, beginning at 26K, dipping mid-quarter, and rising to 33K by the end of March. Active user numbers increased steadily from 137K to 163K over the quarter.
ZEPETO: Avatar, Connect & Live by NAVER Z Corporation showed a rise in weekly revenue from $32K to $25K. Weekly downloads were fairly stable, hovering around 20K to 24K throughout the quarter. Active users remained relatively consistent, fluctuating between 149K and 157K.
Minecraft: Dream it, Build it! by Mojang reported a gradual increase in revenue from $24K to $30K. Downloads spiked to 34K in early February, then stabilized around 17K. Active users increased from 349K to 333K by the end of March.
IMVU: Fun 3D Avatar Chat Game saw a modest rise in revenue, starting at $9.6K and reaching $11K. Downloads were low, peaking at 2.4K in mid-February. Active users slightly increased from 25K to 23K over the quarter.
