In the first quarter of 2025, the Middle East's social networking app landscape saw interesting trends across the top five applications on a unified platform. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed view of these trends.
Azar: Video Chat, Meet Friends by Hyperconnect LLC experienced fluctuations in revenue, peaking at $288K in late March. Downloads started at 21.9K, dipping mid-quarter, but surged to 25.4K by the end of March. Active users showed a decline from 64.8K to 48.3K, with a slight recovery towards the quarter's end.
Telegram Messenger from Telegram FZ-LLC maintained strong performance with revenue increasing steadily, reaching $323K in the last week of March. Downloads remained robust, starting at 225K and ending at 226K, while active users slightly decreased from 29.3M to 28.3M.
SUGO-Online Chat Party by MOBILE ALPHA LIMITED saw revenue rise significantly to $289K at the quarter's close. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 64.2K, dipping mid-quarter, and then climbing to 68.1K. Active users increased from 191K to 214K by March end.
BIGO LIVE-Live Stream, Go Live from BIGO TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. witnessed a revenue surge to $244K in late March. Downloads grew steadily from 30K to 88K, and active users rose from 633K to 795K.
Minichat – video chat, texting by Crescentaxis Inc. showed a revenue increase, peaking at $166K in March's final week. Downloads were variable, starting at 18.5K and rising to 42K, while active users increased from 153K to 215K.
