In the first quarter of 2025, the top social networking apps in Hungary showed varied performance trends across downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Threads maintained a steady presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 11K and 17K. Notably, active users peaked at around 684K in late February, showcasing a robust engagement despite a slight decline by quarter's end.

WhatsApp Messenger demonstrated consistent download numbers, averaging around 14K weekly. The app's active user base remained strong, exceeding 1.5M, with a peak of approximately 1.7M in mid-March.

Telegram Messenger saw a steady increase in revenue, reaching nearly $7.6K in early March. Downloads hovered around 8K to 10K weekly, while active users showed a peak of about 544K in late February.

Rakuten Viber Messenger experienced a gradual rise in revenue, peaking at $3.3K by March. Weekly downloads remained stable at around 8K, with active users consistently above 2.1M throughout the quarter.

Finally, Pi Network saw a significant spike in downloads in late February, reaching 18.7K. Active users also increased steadily, peaking at approximately 43K in March.
