State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the top travel and local apps in Europe showcased significant activity across various metrics. Data from Sensor Tower reveals intriguing trends in downloads and active users for these leading apps.
Booking.com: Hotels & Travel saw a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, maintaining a range between 430K and 490K. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at around 27.7M and peaking at 28M by the end of March.
Airbnb experienced a decrease in weekly downloads, moving from 440K in early January to approximately 347K by the end of the quarter. However, active users showed a positive trend, increasing from 13.3M to 14.1M.
Google Earth maintained stable downloads, remaining around the 210K mark throughout the quarter. Active users also demonstrated resilience, starting at 4.3M and ending at 4.6M.
Skyscanner Flights Hotels Cars showed a decline in downloads from 254K in January to 188K by March. Despite this, the app's active users remained steady, closing the quarter at approximately 3.8M.
Ryanair observed an upward trajectory in downloads, increasing from 215K to 267K. Active users also climbed significantly from 6.5M to over 7.1M by the end of Q1.
