In the second quarter of 2025, Australia's Android gaming landscape was ablaze with dragon-themed games capturing the attention of players. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top five titles in this niche, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Girl Rescue: Dragon Out! from WONDER GROUP saw a gradual decline in weekly revenue, dropping from around $1.5K at the start of April to approximately $870 by the end of June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at 2.5K in early April before stabilizing around 1.8K at quarter's end. The game maintained a steady base of active users, with numbers hovering between 9K and 10K throughout the quarter.
Dragon City: Mobile Adventure by Social Point experienced a significant rise in weekly revenue, reaching more than $6K mid-April and maintaining a steady average of $4.5K to $5K thereafter. Downloads were relatively stable, with a slight increase in activity in mid-May, while active users surged from about 1.9K in March to over 6.5K by June's end.
Dragon Hunter Craft, developed by funtab999, showed no revenue generation during this period. However, the game saw a strong start in weekly downloads with figures around 1.7K, before sharply declining to just 40 by mid-June. Despite this, active users remained relatively high, peaking at over 4K in May before gradually decreasing to around 2.1K.
Merge Dragons! from Gram Games Limited consistently performed with weekly revenue exceeding $17K, peaking at over $25K in mid-June. Downloads were stable, ranging between 600 and 1.1K, while active users steadily increased, reaching over 5K by the end of the quarter.
Lastly, Dragons: Rise of Berk by Ludia Inc. saw a remarkable increase in weekly revenue, climbing from $2.4K in early April to over $10K by June. Downloads also rose significantly, peaking at over 2K in mid-June, alongside an increase in active users from 500 in March to over 2K by quarter's end.
