State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the second quarter of 2025, the personal finance app landscape in Australia saw notable trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, five apps stood out in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
Spendi | Spend, Enter, Win showed fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $1.7K in mid-April. Downloads declined significantly after early May, with only 40 downloads in the final week of June.
Splitwise maintained a steady revenue stream, closing June with $1.6K. Downloads were consistent, ranging between 1.3K and 1.8K weekly. However, active users decreased from about 36.3K in March to 32.2K by the end of June.
YNAB experienced a revenue dip early in the quarter but recovered to $1.4K by mid-June. Downloads were stable, averaging around 160 to 200 weekly, while active users saw a slight decrease, ending the quarter at 1.1K.
WeMoney: Pay off debt faster demonstrated resilience with weekly revenue peaking at around $1.1K in late April. Despite a decline in downloads, the app managed to increase its active user base from 13.1K in March to 11.8K in June.
Wallet: Budget Expense Tracker saw a gradual increase in revenue, reaching $1K by mid-May. Downloads showed a positive trend, peaking at 289 in the last week of June. Active users, however, gradually decreased from 2.6K to 1.3K over the quarter.
