In the second quarter of 2025, the top 5 social apps on the Android platform in the Middle East showed varied performance trends. Here’s a detailed look at their weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.
TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE saw a steady increase in revenue, peaking at approximately $918K by the end of June. Weekly downloads climbed from around 218K at the start of the quarter to over 255K in the final week. Meanwhile, active users increased from 12.5M to 12.7M.
Chamet - Live Video Chat experienced fluctuations in revenue, with a high of $189K in late April. Downloads were relatively stable, reaching about 19K by the end of June, while active users hovered around 93K in the final weeks.
Poppo Live- Live Stream had consistent revenue, peaking at $118K in early June. Downloads decreased slightly from 18K to about 13K, and active users showed a moderate decline, ending the quarter at approximately 63K.
Bigo Live - Live Streaming App maintained stable revenue, with a peak of $101K in late April. Downloads saw a downward trend, dropping to about 49K by the end of June, while active users remained strong at around 724K.
Tango- Live Stream, Video Chat had a revenue peak of $104K in late June. Downloads showed an upward trend from 20K to over 34K, and active users increased from 335K to 338K.
