In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the top social apps on the Android platform in France showcased interesting trends. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, highlights key metrics for TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and Facebook Lite.
TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE experienced a notable fluctuation in revenue, peaking at around $2.6M in late April. Weekly downloads increased steadily in June, reaching about 85K. Active users showed consistent growth, surpassing 6.4M by the quarter's end.
Instagram saw a gradual rise in revenue, reaching approximately $31K by late June. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a peak of about 58K in early June. The app maintained a robust active user base, ending the quarter with over 14M users.
Facebook displayed stable revenue figures, with a slight increase to $18K by the end of June. Downloads fluctuated slightly, peaking at over 44K in early June. Active users remained strong, consistently over 18M throughout the quarter.
Threads showed no revenue but maintained a steady download rate, peaking at approximately 46K in early June. Active users hovered around 1.3M to 1.4M, with a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.
Facebook Lite had minimal revenue but showed a significant increase in downloads, with a peak of over 21K in mid-May. Active users grew steadily, reaching over 374K by mid-June.
