In the second quarter of 2025, the top social apps on the Android platform in Mexico exhibited notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a detailed look at the performance of these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
TikTok Lite - Save Data & Fast saw a fluctuating revenue pattern, starting at around $0.2K and peaking at $0.7K in late May. Downloads reached their highest in early June, with approximately 357K, while weekly active users grew from 5M to over 6M by the end of the quarter.
The main TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE app experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $563K in mid-June. Downloads showed a downward trend initially, but rebounded to 295K by June's end. Active users remained stable throughout the quarter, hovering around 34M.
Instagram maintained a consistent growth in revenue, culminating at $48K in the last week of June. Downloads fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter at approximately 205K. Active user numbers remained robust, just shy of 40M.
Facebook demonstrated a gradual rise in revenue, reaching $47K by the quarter's close. Download numbers varied, peaking at 220K in the final week, while active users slightly dipped but stabilized at around 53M.
Finally, Facebook Lite saw a minimal revenue increase, with a maximum of just $49 by quarter's end. Downloads showed a peak in mid-May at 217K, and active users remained steady, ending June at over 4M.
