In the second quarter of 2025, interactive story games on iOS in the United States saw varied performance metrics, as captured by Sensor Tower. Here’s a look at the top five apps in this category.
Love Island: The Game by Fusebox Games demonstrated a remarkable increase in weekly revenue, soaring to approximately $1M by the end of June. Downloads surged dramatically from early June, peaking at around 183K in the final week. Active users mirrored this trend, growing from 30.2K in early April to 149.4K by the end of the quarter.
Episode - Choose Your Story from Episode Interactive maintained a steady revenue stream, averaging around $200K weekly, with a slight increase towards the quarter's end. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of approximately 43.5K by late May. Active users saw a gradual decline, from 192.9K at the start to 152K by the end of June.
GossipMaster by SUPERSONIC STUDIOS LTD, despite having no revenue, enjoyed a steady increase in downloads, peaking at 22.5K in early June. Active users grew significantly, from 23.4K in late March to 82.6K by mid-June, before settling at 64.4K by the end of the quarter.
An Elmwood Trail showed modest revenue growth, peaking at $4.3K in early June. Downloads fluctuated, with a peak of 24.2K in the same period. Active users increased from 17.3K to 26.3K by the quarter's end.
Family Life!, another title by SUPERSONIC STUDIOS LTD, also reported no revenue but saw an upward trend in downloads, reaching 25.9K in late May. Active users grew steadily, climbing from 41.6K to 94.7K by the end of June.
