In the second quarter of 2025, the top five consumer finance applications in Spain showed varied performance trends on a unified platform. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads and active user engagement.
Revolut: Send, spend and save saw a consistent level of weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 86K by the end of June. Active users also experienced growth, escalating from around 3.3M to 3.5M over the quarter.
For imagin: More than mobile bank, weekly downloads began at 47.5K and exhibited a gradual decline to about 37.6K by the end of the quarter. However, its active user base increased from 3.6M to 3.7M, indicating sustained user engagement.
BBVA Spain | Online banking experienced an initial drop in downloads from 50K to 35K, followed by a recovery to 40K by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, with slight fluctuations around 7.1M throughout the quarter.
Weekly downloads for CaixaBankNow: Online banking showed a downward trend from 43.8K, stabilizing at around 40K in late June. Despite this, the app maintained a strong active user base, increasing from 7.1M to 7.3M.
Santander España started the quarter with 46K downloads, experiencing a decrease to about 40K by June's end. Active users, however, saw a positive trend, growing from 5M to over 5.1M.
