In the second quarter of 2025, the personal finance app market in Nigeria saw varied performance across the top five applications on a unified platform. Here’s a detailed look at their performance metrics based on Sensor Tower data.
Wallet: Budget Expense Tracker from BudgetBakers experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, starting at around $218 and peaking at $262 mid-June. Weekly downloads varied, with a notable high of 328 in late April, while active users showed a slight decline from 1.07K to 884 over the quarter.
Budge・Savings & Budget Planner by Vladimir Chernysh maintained steady revenue, ending the quarter with $162. However, download and active user data were not available for this period.
YNAB saw a gradual increase in revenue, reaching $211 by the end of June. Downloads peaked at 124 in late April, while active users rose steadily, reaching 211 by the end of the quarter.
Money Manager: Expense Tracker showed consistent revenue, closing at $123. Despite no download data, the app maintained a strong active user base, slightly declining from 1.39K to 958.
Lastly, Money Tracker Expense Tracker by Gulooloo Tech Co., Ltd. demonstrated robust performance with revenue reaching $137 and downloads peaking at 1.93K in mid-May. Active users remained strong throughout, consistently above 14K.
