In the second quarter of 2025, the top five social networking applications in the United Arab Emirates showed varied performance trends on a unified platform. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into these trends.
Threads from Instagram, Inc. saw weekly downloads fluctuate slightly, starting at around 47K and peaking at 52.7K in early June before settling back to 42.4K by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 1.8M in March to 1.7M in late June.
Telegram Messenger showed a consistent weekly revenue increase, starting at approximately $93.5K and peaking at $98.3K by the end of the quarter. Downloads remained steady around 52K initially but experienced a slight decrease to 45.3K. Active users hovered around 3.5M, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
botim, published by Algento Cloud Computing Limited, recorded a gradual increase in weekly revenue, reaching $9.6K by the end of June. Downloads were consistent, with a slight rise to 47K towards the end of the quarter. Active user numbers increased from 5.8M to over 6.1M.
Google Meet maintained stable weekly downloads, peaking at 14.7K mid-quarter. Active users increased from 826K to 954K, showing a steady upward trend.
Finally, WhatsApp Messenger experienced a steady download increase, from 39.4K to 48K by early June. Active users remained robust, consistently above 8M throughout the quarter.
