In the second quarter of 2025, the top social networking applications in Austria demonstrated varied performance trends on a unified platform, according to Sensor Tower data.
Threads from Instagram, Inc. saw weekly downloads fluctuate slightly, maintaining an average of around 11K, with a peak of 13.2K in late June. Active users experienced a decline from 605K to approximately 475K towards the end of the quarter.
Telegram Messenger from Telegram FZ-LLC showed consistent weekly revenue, ending with $19.9K at the quarter's close. Downloads remained steady, averaging around 7K, while active users hovered just above 1.2M, showing minor fluctuations throughout the months.
Facebook, developed by Meta Platforms, Inc., recorded a stable revenue trend, closing at $4.9K weekly. Downloads varied slightly, peaking at 8.8K in late May. Active users saw a gradual decrease from 1.7M to 1.6M by the end of June.
WhatsApp Messenger maintained a steady download rate, averaging around 7K weekly, with active users consistently above 6.3M, indicating a strong user base.
Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out by Discord, Inc. experienced a moderate increase in weekly revenue, reaching $17.1K in late June. Downloads fluctuated between 4K and 5K, while active users showed slight growth, ending the quarter at approximately 309K.
