State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the second quarter of 2025, the word puzzle game category in Chile saw some intriguing trends across the top five apps, according to Sensor Tower data.
Words of Wonders: Crossword showed a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at about 10.7K by the end of June. Its weekly revenue fluctuated, with a high of $440 in early April and closing the quarter at $438. Active users grew steadily, reaching over 150K by the end of the quarter.
Crossword Master - Word Puzzle experienced a significant drop in downloads from 41.7K in early April to around 10.2K by the end of June. Revenue showed a decline, starting at $275 and ending at $142. Active users decreased from 86K to about 50K over the quarter.
Wordscapes had modest download numbers, with a slight decline from 978 to 789. Revenue also decreased over the quarter, from $207 to $66. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 4K to 5K.
Zen Word® - Relax Puzzle Game saw a notable increase in downloads, peaking at 1.8K mid-June. Revenue varied, with a peak of $159 in mid-May, closing at $108. Active users decreased slightly from 23K to 17K.
Lastly, NYT Games: Wordle & Crossword had minimal download numbers, peaking at 428 in late May. Revenue remained relatively low, ending at $148. Active users increased slightly, reaching over 1.2K by the end of June.
