In the third quarter of 2025, the top maps and navigation apps on the Android platform in New Zealand showcased varied performance trends. Here's a closer look at their metrics, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Navionics® Boating by Garmin saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, culminating at approximately $3.3K by the end of September. Downloads showed a gradual rise, peaking at 71 in the final week. Active users fluctuated slightly throughout the quarter, ending at 201.
Spacetalk experienced consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $1K, with minor fluctuations. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging in the 30s, while active users maintained a steady presence, hovering around 330.
Circuit Route Planner from Circuit Routing Limited showed a decline in revenue, closing at $628 by the end of the quarter. Downloads and active users also saw a downward trend, with final figures at 32 downloads and 180 active users.
Trailforks demonstrated a mixed performance, with revenue peaking at $635 in late September. Downloads remained robust, with a peak of 115, while active users increased towards the end of the quarter, reaching 1.2K.
New Zealand Topo Maps showed a slight increase in downloads, peaking at 129 in the week of September 22. Revenue varied, reaching a high of $459 mid-September.
