State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!

In the third quarter of 2025, the top social apps on the Android platform in Germany demonstrated varied performance trends, according to Sensor Tower data.
Facebook from Meta Platforms, Inc. saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $28K by the end of September. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at around 104K in early July and settling around 92K by quarter's end. Weekly active users started at 9.9M and saw a gradual decline to 9.5M.
TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE experienced strong revenue growth, with a peak of approximately $5.7M in mid-September. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 77K to 89K per week. The app maintained a steady base of active users, ending the quarter with about 7.4M.
Instagram showed consistent revenue growth, peaking at roughly $60K in the last week of September. Downloads hovered between 71K and 90K, while active users remained strong at around 10.3M throughout the quarter.
Threads saw a decline in weekly downloads from 55K to about 33K by late September. Active users increased to approximately 2M mid-quarter, offering a glimpse of steady engagement.
Facebook Lite had modest revenue, reaching a peak of $122 in the final week. Downloads varied, with a high of 25K in early September, while active users showed a slight decline, ending at about 228K.
