In the third quarter of 2025, New Zealand's top consumer finance applications demonstrated diverse trends in downloads and active users, as revealed by Sensor Tower's unified data.
ANZ goMoney New Zealand saw a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 5.8K towards the end of August. Active user numbers showed an upward trend, reaching about 747K by the end of September.
BNZ Mobile experienced a decline in weekly downloads from an initial 5.8K to around 2.5K by the end of the quarter. Active users fluctuated, with a notable increase in late August to approximately 215K, before stabilizing around 199K at the quarter's close.
ASB Mobile Banking maintained steady download numbers, with a slight rise in September reaching 3.7K. However, active user engagement saw a gradual decline from 412K in early July to about 358K by the end of September.
Westpac One NZ Mobile Banking showed stable download figures, peaking at 3.1K in late September. Active users fluctuated, starting at 211K and ending the quarter at roughly 218K.
Revolut: Send, spend and save experienced varied download trends, reaching a peak of 3.4K in early September. Active users initially increased, peaking at 34K mid-quarter, before declining to about 23K by the end.
