In the third quarter of 2025, the leading fast food and fast casual restaurant apps in the United States demonstrated notable trends in downloads and active user engagement, as reported by Sensor Tower.
McDonald's app downloads showed a consistent upward trajectory, peaking at approximately 541K in mid-September. The app maintained strong engagement with weekly active users increasing from 26.3M to over 30M by the end of the quarter.
Taco Bell Fast Food & Delivery saw steady download numbers, with a high of 254K in early August. Weekly active users also climbed from 7.7M to 9.3M, highlighting a growing user base.
Domino's Pizza USA experienced a surge in downloads, reaching a peak of 250K at the start of September. Active users increased from 5.7M to 6.5M, indicating strong user retention.
Chick-fil-A downloads spiked to 512K in mid-July but then stabilized around 146K by the end of September. Active users fluctuated but remained above 9M, showing consistent engagement.
Starbucks downloads steadily increased, reaching 208K by the quarter’s end. Active users also saw a rise, closing the quarter at over 17M, demonstrating robust user interaction.
