In the third quarter of 2025, the Match 3 game genre in the United States showcased notable trends across top applications, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Royal Match from Dream Games saw weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at around $15.9M at the start of July and ending the quarter with $12.8M. Downloads began strong at 308K, gradually decreasing to approximately 137K by the end of September. Meanwhile, active users fluctuated, reaching a peak of 5.3M in early August before settling at 4.8M.
Candy Crush Saga maintained consistent weekly revenue, starting at $10.1M and experiencing a slight increase to $11.1M in late September. Weekly downloads were stable, hovering around 110K, with a slight dip to 94K in early September. Active users varied, with a high of 6.8M at the start of July, decreasing to 5.4M by the end of the quarter.
Royal Kingdom, also from Dream Games, showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching $6.1M mid-August. Downloads decreased from 456K to 292K over the quarter, while active users rose from 2.7M to 3.5M.
Gossip Harbor®: Merge & Story from Microfun Limited experienced a peak in revenue at $6.3M in early September. Weekly downloads started at 234K and ended at 206K. Active users peaked at 1.0M in mid-July, with a slight decline to 904K by the end of September.
Finally, Toon Blast by Peak Games showed consistent revenue, peaking at $3.8M in late July. Downloads were around 57K at the start and decreased to 49K by the end of the quarter. Active users began at 566K, with fluctuations resulting in a slight decrease to 469K.
