During the third quarter of 2025, the social app landscape in Germany saw varied performance trends across the top five applications on the unified platform.
Facebook experienced a consistent weekly revenue, peaking at about $42K in late August. Downloads fluctuated slightly, with a peak of 151K in the week of July 21. The app maintained a strong user base, though weekly active users decreased from 15.8M to 15.1M by the end of September.
TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE showed impressive weekly revenue, reaching a high of approximately $6.7M in late September. Downloads remained steady around 120K per week, while active users increased to 13.1M by the end of the quarter.
Instagram saw weekly revenue peak at $111K in mid-July, with downloads reaching their highest at 127K in late July. Active users remained stable, closing the quarter at 16.9M.
Threads had notable download numbers, peaking at 150K in mid-August. Active users increased slightly, ending September with around 5.2M.
OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative recorded a steady weekly revenue, hitting $56K in late July. Downloads saw a peak of 35K in late July, while active users remained consistent, closing the quarter at 319K.
