In the fourth quarter of 2025, the consumer finance app landscape in the United Kingdom saw notable trends on the Android platform. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top five apps based on data from Sensor Tower:
Monzo - Mobile Banking maintained consistent weekly downloads around the 40K mark, peaking at 44.9K in the final week of December. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at approximately 5.1M and closing the quarter at 5.1M, with a noticeable dip in mid-December.
Revolut: Spend, Save, Trade experienced a steady download rate, with weekly figures mostly above 30K, reaching a peak of 38.6K in early November. Active users hovered around 3.1M, showing some decline towards the end of the quarter.
NatWest Mobile Banking saw a significant drop in downloads over the quarter. Starting at 60.5K in early October, downloads decreased to 13.1K by the end of December. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at 2.5M.
Lloyds Mobile Banking showed a steady download trend, starting at 26K and peaking at 33.7K in early December. Active users remained consistent throughout the quarter, with a slight increase to 3.3M by the end of December.
Barclays UK had varied download numbers, peaking at 31.2K in November before dropping to 12.8K by the end of December. Active users saw minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at 3M.
