In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top personal finance apps on the Android platform in the United States demonstrated varied performance metrics. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here's how these apps fared:
Rocket Money - Bills & Budgets saw consistent weekly revenue, peaking at about $54K in late October. Downloads surged dramatically towards the end of December, reaching 132.5K, while weekly active users rose from 1.7M to over 2.1M by the end of the quarter.
Cleo AI: Cash Advance & Money maintained a steady download rate, peaking at 42.2K in early November. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at 435.8K and ending at 475.3K.
MoneyLion: Banking & Cash Back experienced a steady increase in downloads, reaching a quarterly high of 42.4K in early December. Active users started at 599.4K, peaking at 692.4K mid-quarter, before ending at 501.6K.
Empower® had significant download spikes, particularly in late October with 57.7K. Active users also showed growth, starting at 403K and closing the quarter at 873.3K.
Albert: Budgeting and Banking maintained a steady download rate, peaking at 23.6K in the final week of December. Active users showed a slight decline, starting at 347.6K and ending at 309K.
