2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the iOS platform in Norway saw notable activity within the books app category. Here's a look at how the top five apps performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Bibliofil, published by Bibliotek-Systemer As, showcased a consistent download pattern, peaking at around 1.6K downloads in early November. The app maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users fluctuating between 24K and 29K, despite a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.
Storytel - Audiobooks Library from Storytel Sweden AB experienced steady weekly revenue, with a notable peak of approximately $1.1K in late October. Downloads remained stable, ranging from 700 to 1K, while weekly active users increased from 59K to 61K by the quarter's end.
Fabel - Lydbøker og lydserier showed a gradual increase in downloads, closing the quarter at nearly 1K. Active users grew significantly from 8.8K to 12.7K, indicating a rising interest in the app.
Nextory: Audiobooks & E-books recorded modest revenue fluctuations, with a peak of $34 in late September. Downloads varied throughout the quarter, reaching a high of 1.1K in early December. Active users showed an upward trend, ending the quarter at about 11.8K.
Lastly, BookBeat: Audiobooks & E-books experienced a decline in both downloads and active users. Downloads started at over 1K but fell to around 500 by December. Active users also decreased from 25K to 6.7K over the quarter.
