The fourth quarter of 2025 saw notable activity among the top food delivery apps on iOS in Italy. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active user engagement.
Glovo: Food Delivery, Takeaway maintained a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, hovering around 17K to 18K throughout the quarter, with a peak of 22K in the final week of December. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at approximately 776K and experiencing a dip to 687K before closing the year at 716K.
Deliveroo: Food & Shopping showed a gradual increase in downloads, reaching 22.6K by the end of December. The app's active user base also saw growth, starting from 616K and peaking at 892K in early December, before settling at 738K.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a decline in downloads from its initial 20K, dropping to 11.5K by the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar pattern, decreasing from 620K to 533K.
Just Eat - Food Delivery recorded a steady rate of downloads, ranging from 12K to 16K. The active user count grew significantly, starting at 83K and reaching over 106K towards the quarter's end.
Breasy showed a downward trend in downloads, beginning at 3.5K and dropping to under 800 by the end of December. Active user engagement declined from 74K to 52K over the same period.
